China – World Cup Update

17 November 2022 – SportsHero Limited (SportsHero or the Company) refers to its announcement dated 25 October 2022 wherein the Company announced its intention to launch FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 prediction competitions on WeChat.

The Company is pleased to provide the following updated information in relation to the launch on WeChat of the Company’s FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 prediction competitions:

  • ➢  FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 will run from 19 November to 18 December 2022.
  • ➢  Sponsored prizes for our prediction competitions will be provided by Black Shark, Logitech and Monster Technology. Prizes include gaming hardware, Bluetooth gaming headsets and an iPhone 14 Pro Max 256GB.
  • ➢  Logitech to increase its current A$15,000 sponsorship to A$25,000 worth of prizes.
  • ➢  New commercial sponsor, Black Shark (a subsidiary of Xiaomi), to sponsor A$10,000 worth of prizes.
  • ➢  Monster Technology to sponsor over A$60,000 worth of advertising and promotion in the lead-up and during the World Cup tournament.
  • ➢  Wuhan Esports Association will promote the prediction competitions across their social media platform and grassroots channels within their network.
  • ➢  In addition to World Cup prediction competitions, users can purchase bonus tools/points to boost their predictions and climb faster up the SportsHero leaderboard.
  • ➢  Estimated 200 million football enthusiasts in China (September 2022).1

Wuhan Monster Technology, the commercial arm of the Wuhan Esports Association, will sponsor prizes that include an iPhone 14 Pro Max 256GB, KARNOX co-branded gaming chair and Tencent Video Sports VIP cards. They will also sponsor over A$60,000 worth of online advertising and offline promotion across the Wuhan Esports Association official website, social media channels, over 3,500 large screen resources across 125 colleges and universities in 15 cities across China.

Logitech (China) Technology Co Ltd (a wholly owned subsidiary of Swiss multinational Logitech International SA) (SWX: LOGN) has collaborated with SportsHero to be our first commercial sponsor. The initial sponsorship provided by Logitech comprises Logitech gaming keyboard and headset products will be offered as prizes to competition winners during the World Cup.
